Heeeyyyy, what's up everyone??? We haven't made a post in a while, so I figured while I'm not that busy (which is a rarity) I'd make a post and let everyone what's been going on!

These last two week have been nothing but BUSY! Recording newly written tracks, going back to fix up some scratchy guitar, then recording ANOTHER new track, then going back AGAIN to fix up something else that didn't meet our criteria. Finally, we think we got EVERYTHING right. I'm actually listening to one of our new tracks mixed, and I can't describe how pleased I am with it. I know all you guys will feel the same way. To be honest, we're getting a little antsy to show everybody!

How did you guys like the radio show??? WTSR rocked on my end. We had a great time. Everyone there was very cool, and were really into our tunes. Couldn't ask for a better time! Plus, I didn't think we did too bad for our first radio show together, haha :P We played one of our new songs called Breakdown on our acoustic guitars. It came out totally awesome, so if you happened to miss it, you can go check it out at www.wtsr.org. Just click on the multimedia button and look for us through the page!

Anyway guys, I'm going to go pass out. We are all really beat. Our last day is tomorrow and we all want to be ready to go. You guys are in for a treat..

late.

Week 2!

So it's weird to think months ago we were looking for a singer, and even when we found him we felt we were so far away from getting to this point, and now we're already week 2 in the process of banging this baby out! Anyways, I'm writing you from the control room here at Portrait, I ran into some software issues late last week, and now I'm waiting for a package tomorrow so I'm sitting back until I can fix everything up. Nonetheless, the band is doing some live preproduction on the second half of the CD as I write this, and I'm absolutely stoked to hear these songs come out, most of them are the newest ones we've ever written!

Now for the weekend, everybody seems to have had a crazy one. I sadly had to head back to CT for a good amount of it to tie some loose ends with some classes I was taking before we signed the recording contract. It was a total blur, immediately after laying down some sequencing tracks/keyboard on Friday I hopped in a car back to NYC, grabbed the 5 downtown, hopped on Metro North back to CT, got in another car and drove home. The entire trip was draining enough, on top of not getting home until 3 in the morning, to wake up at 7 in the morning and learn to drag people out of cars all day for some Emergency Medicine coursework. Then I just reversed the route to get back to NYC/NJ for the night to work out some more material. Needless to say I got much needed rest just hanging back in the hotel all day Sunday cleaning and promoting. So now starts week 2 and we're pulling together years of us all individually and collectively hustling to make something stellar. Hopefully this does it for us and you guys hear the same.

Brian and Aaron in the City

On sunday I went to vinyl and had a burger and got served (by a pot smoking gym teaching waiter) and had an excellent Bass Draft. The next day i woke up early and got coffee with chris and when we walked into starbucks there was a lady collapsed on the floor covered in blood. She was very unresponsive and drenched in blood... talk about painting the town red.

Then we went to see lady liberty. smoked a bunch of cigs. then went to the worst subway restaurant i have ever been to in my life. Then i touched the bulls balls. Then i went to times sq and went to the virgin store where i stray'ed away from chris and aaron to look at books. there was a cool one about black dresses. Then i went to mcdonalds for coffee. Saw a bunch of street vendors selling purses that i will buy for LJ someday to carry his drumsticks, make-up, hairdryer and lipstick.

Then went back to chris' apt. and now aaron's doing his laundry.

Helloooo ello. What's up everyone? Matt here, giving you a studio update! Finished tracking rhythm for 5 tracks of the record today, and I want to tell everyone that this record is going to be amazing. Working with Chris Badami is awesome, hes a real stand up guy with a bunch of great ideas for the record. Honestly, working with him has been a real honor. I mean, he's done a lot of OUR favorite bands. Sorry, I just can't get over it, haha. :D

As for these past 6 days in the studio, its not as bad as everyone thinks. I'm sure it will get old by the end of next week, but chillin' with my boys all the time has been great. We just had a couple friends come down tonight from back home too. It was nice to see faces from back home. Our good friend Ali is here, who might pull out a merch position on the tour happening AFTER April 15th and our friend Brent is here. He was here the first time we recorded with Badami,so we had good tracks to find a singer with. Seems like just yesterday we were here. Damn, we had a good time then. And we're having a good time now, haha.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling, but let me tell you guys, straight from us to you, THIS RECORD IS GUNNA BE OFF THE HOOOOOOOK!!!! Till next time..

P.S- Check out the new van, its huge!!!!!!

Lj and I have been busy all day promoting our asses off non stop. So for you guys, were hitting up this journal full force, we set up a flickr account (flickr.com/photos/acoastlineending), and we're really working hard on our tour dates. We actually have some confirmed ones, but we're working out a bunch of details and once we're comfortable with how things are looking we'll drop some dates on you guys. We also were delighted to see our brand new tour van roll on up the other day fully registered, insured, and good to go. We're still debating her name, with the two front runners being 'Big Red' and 'Clifford'. Head over to our Flickr account to see some photos, or I'll make Matt get his lazy ass on here to post and he can throw up his pictures. Thanks again for listening and reading guys, everyday we're making steps to pushing this thing forward, stick with us!

P.S. - Sorry this picture is lame, couldn't find anything else to throw up here, so get up and check out our flickr for something else good!

What up everybody. We woke up today and came into the studio around 11 to continue tracking.
Me and Kyle have finished tracking drums and bass for half of the record. Matt is recording some guitar tracks
as we speak. We hit up the mall for lunch and got some bangin Charley's subs. I (kyle) got Popeye's with Brian for lunch.
The record is coming along great and we are ahead of schedule. I promise this cd is going to be worth the wait.
and nobody will be let down. time for a cigarette..until later.

Hanging back....

After Lj tracked drums all day yesterday Captain Badami needed some time to edit up drum tracks, letting us sleep in. Balllinnnnnnnnnnnnn. Anyways Brian and I stood back to get some ish done. And make some ballin eggs in our hot plate haha. I hustled a bunch of promotions and some designing and worked some sequencing and Brian re-did some leads on our older songs now that Aaron has come into the picture. Regardless I'm sure it's all boring to you guys so that's that, me and Brian went back to the studio, listened to some bass, and shot the biz with Badami and our label for a bit and came back here. The night so far has consisted of us running around parking lots and making fools of ourself in front of random cars at the McDonalds next door. Ballin' all day, ballin all night'. I left my camera back at the studio so tomorrow some of the other guys in the band are gonna hop on this baby and show and tell you what they've been up to. For now you can see the mildly gross view from our hotel balcony. Dig it.

Ladies and Gentleman!

I'm writing you from the control room here at Portrait Recording Studios in good old New Jersey. We arrived here just two days ago and the time has been little more than a blur so far. Sunday night we moved ourselves on into the beautiful (not really) Days Inn down here, and woke up bright and early Monday morning to start the CD (still being titled, but we're hoping to announce it real soooon). We did preproduction all day yesterday on about half of what is currently the record. LJ, Matt, and I came back this morning to begin tracking drums on that half of the CD while the others stayed back and took care of some business and that's where it leaves us now. So far so good guys, throughout the rest of the month I and the other guys will be hopping on here to write some notes your way so stay in touch. We'll be hopefully throwing up some pictures as well as the month goes on, here is a few for now, so take care and stay in touch!
